February is the perfect time to test your triathlon skills! Following the success of last year’s event, the Midvaal Triathlon is back with even more to offer. This year, we’ve added Duathlon events as part of the Central Gauteng Triathlon Duathlon Championships. Choose your challenge with a Long Distance Triathlon featuring a 2km swim, 80km cycle and 20km run; a Standard Distance Triathlon with a 1km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run; or the new Sprint Distance Triathlon with a 500m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run. Prefer to run and ride? Take on the Sprint Duathlon with a 5km run, 20km cycle and 5km run, or the Standard Duathlon with a 10km run, 40km cycle and 5km run. There’s also a Corporate / Family / Team Relay Challenge for teams of 2 or 3, featuring a 1km swim, 40km cycle and 10km run. For those who prefer a swim-bike combination, the Aquabike includes a 2km swim and 80km bike. You can also enjoy a Bass Lake 1km or 2km Swim as a standalone event.
